What are Invention Challenges?
There are times when we have a particular focus area in mind and we would like ideas specific to that – when this happens, we will issue an Invention Challenge. It could be a particular market, product category, innovation or technology.
Does a regular submission need to be resubmited for the Invention Challenge?
Yes, if your idea is on target for the Invention Challenge, we would really appreciate it if you resubmitted it! Although it’s a bit more work for you, all Invention Challenge ideas need to be submitted directly through the Invention Challenge portal.
IS THE INVENTION CHALLENGE WORTH BOTHERING WITH?
Why should I care about it? Submissions to the Invention Challenge are going to be most aligned with our present needs. After all, we issue the Challenge to get as many ideas as we can for a marketplace opportunity we have identified. It stands to reason that your idea will have the best chance of going forward if it addresses these needs.
ARE INVENTION CHALLENGE IDEAS HANDLED ANY DIFFERENTLY?
Invention Challenge submissions go through the same review process as other idea submissions.
